First Day of School...

Late again. Always, always 15 minutes late. This time? Well, unlike all the other days when I just slept in, today I burnt my expired English muffins, so I had to find some toast to toast and spread with jam. I had to fix my stupid English Media PowerPoint because older versions of PowerPoint don't support animations on certain shapes because I used the Publish feature in PowerPoint to put all my linked images and slides into one compact package for use anywhere. Then, I had to type up and print notes. All this and I didn't even get to present--because 3/4 of the rest of the class was too lazy to put together a 5-minute slideshow with some pictures and a b.s. thesis.

Oh, and apparently there's some Physics worksheet due tomorrow. And I've got a Diabetes pamphlet to work on for Wednesday. And there's a Chemistry crossword. And a mountain of Biology packages. And a Novel ISU. And a Math test next Tuesday. And Math homework. And...and... forget it. I won't even bother with 7/8 of it anyway.....

Dimsum girrrrrlll... ♪

As some of you might have heard, Anika, Terence, and I have this tradition of going somewhere to eat dimsum/Korean BBQ or go bowling whenever we have some time off school. It's mostly just to keep in touch since Anika goes to a boarding school and Grade 11 doesn't leave much free time for casual socializing. Last Monday, Abie joined us on a trip to the Perfect Chinese restaurant at Brimley and Sheppard.

We had a great time. The service was good because we had the forethought to get there early. And the dimsum was amazing for its price--$1.60 per dish with no differentiation between "Small," "Medium," "Large," or "Specialty" dishes. Everyone left with a full stomach for a grand total of $30 (including taxes & tip)! Then, we went to Shifa's for some pool and Top Spin. It was a good day.

Considering my love of dimsum, it was great news to hear my parents say that I'd be dimsumming at an even nicer restaurant yesterday. We went to a popular place I forgot the name of after dropping my brother off at a birthday party. The food was good and left me with a pleasantly plump sensation.

And at 5pm, as a nice closer to my March Break, I headed over to Christina's for a movie night with some of the guys. We watched The Hangover (which, by the way, was hilarious, naked old guys and all) and Donnie Darko. Thankfully, the guys' ridiculously hormonal sense of humour made Frank seem less scary... ish. At least I didn't wake up last night screaming about bunnies, so it's all good.

Overall, a very fulfilling March Break. Some good food, retail therapy, and fun times. Now... to finish my homework. Guhhh....

For those of you still wondering: The English Novel ISU's due April 1st and the Media Presentations start rolling tomorrow!

Orfus Road, I love you!

Wooooooohooooooooooo~ =D

So, I finally convinced my mum to take me and a couple friends shopping. (Said friends are male, because no female friends were available, but that's okay because they had great taste!) Oh my goodness, Orfus road is amazing. Did you know you could get a decent tank top for $1.25?! THAT'S THE SAME AS A CAN OF LAME DIET SODA FROM MY SCHOOL'S MOST FAULTY VENDING MACHINE!

Although you couldn't actually try anything on in the stores, the sizing's pretty good and most of the stuff there was small, so it actually fit me :)

I'm just amazed that the shorts I bought didn't fall right off my hips the moment I slipped them on when I got home! (And trust me, I tried it on the minute I got home xD)

TODAY'S LOOT:
  • Pink striped spaghetti-strap T-back tank top ($1.25)
  • Baby pink plaid tunic tank with a sweetheart neckline ($5.00)
  • Simple black short-shorts that actually fit ($5.00)
  • Simple dark blue wash denim shorts that also actually fit ($5.00)
  • Baby blue T-shirt with seahorses and slogan "La mer d'amour" ($5.00)
  • Simple white waffle-print longsleeve Tee ($5.00)
  • Patterned women's style fedora (THAT ACTUALLY FITS) ($10.00)

Colin & Chris each bought some stuff too [Colin--2 pairs jeans, 1 skinny purple tie, 1 kickin' white jacket, Chris--1 fleece sweater, 1 dark blue longsleeve tee] Although a pair of Colin's jeans didn't fit that well, Bluenotes offered 7-day exchanges, so he's gonna go back soon. All in all, it was a nice day with perfect 18-degree spring shopping weather!

Orfus Road was fun. (And the Greek grill place we ate at was fab, too!) Hope to go back soon. :)

Another day wasted...

Today, I've accomplished:
  • Learning the very basic basic fundamentals of driving (starting up, parking, turning, etc.)
  • Half-starting my English novel ISU... will get back to that later. =D
  • Organizing a shopping trip to ORFUS ROAD
  • Watched another useless movie...
  • ...slept in...
  • Nothing.
Hopefully, I'll get something done by tomorrow! (Unlikely to happen.)

Well then... On the bright side--no. Nevermind. Two assignments over the March Break for ONE annoyingly confounding subject? There is no bright side.

And that damned Diabetes Pamphlet does nothing to make this life easier.

Procrastination, wherefore art thou so (psychologically) demanding?! Maybe I should just get off my lazy ass and get something done before the day is really done... on second thought; I've gotten this far already....

Someone should shoot the devil(s) perched on my shoulder(s). God help me...

Hello World!

Over the course of my (thus uneventful) March Break, I realized that I have an exceptionally meek social life, an alarmingly increasing tendency to be lazy, and too much free time. To give myself something to do and the motivation to tackle my steadily growing To-Do list, I have decided to join the Blogosphere!

...Of course, almost no one will read this. More or less, it's just me putting on a monitor things I'd be rambling to myself in my head... then again, maybe something good will come out of it? Like, I'll gain the motivation to work because I need something to blog about?

Oh well... On to the lists!

TO-DO LIST (NON-WORK ORIENTED):
  • Practice my lines for the Sears Drama Festival (WE MUST WIN AT REGIONALS. WE MUST.)
  • Get some exercise. I will wake up at 6:00 7:00 8:00 am tomorrow morning and jog. I NEED MORE MUSCLE MASS. A low BMI and freakishly boney frame is not enough! It's just not healthy!
  • DO MY HOMEWORK  Go out with friends. "Hang out." Track down my crush and eliminate have a "normal" conversation with them. Do whatever teens these days are supposed to do. When they aren't bogged down by homework and an insane superiority complex.
  • Finish the books I'm reading.
  • Blog again. Hopefully not waiting an entire month before finding the motivation to blog again.
  • Discover if motivation = courage to me.
  • Follow my spectacularly more interesting and social friends' lives. I'm not a facebookstalker, I swear! (Who am I kidding? All girls are. All women. All boys.... Everyone.)
  • Do not go onto aimless game websites.
  • Do not watch bootleg TV episodes and movies until my brain turns to slush.
  • Do not eat junk food.
  • Do.... some yoga. Why the heck not?

TO DO LIST (WORK ORIENTED--PRIORITIZE!):

  • Take notes on my ISU book (which, I have decided, I will change anyway...much to my English teacher's chagrin)
  • Do Diabetes research for my Food and Nutrition pamphlet
  • Review my Chinese
  • Do those horrendously huge Bio packages
  • DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. I REPEAT, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE

OVERALL LIFE GOALS:
  • Learn how to play pool properly
  • DO NOT SLEEP IN. DO NOT SLEEP IN. DO NOT SLEEP IN. DO NOT SLEEP IN.
  • Eat healthier.
  • Learn to drive without running over someone's grandmother.
My god, I can bet you 3/4 of that list will not be completed. Sadly.
